FILE DISPOSITION
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
If you have earlier versions of these files or other .BGL files
which cover the same area, please save & delete them. In Particular
if you have the previous OzPack South Australia/Northern Territory combined
scenery you will need to remove same from your FS5 scenery directory
to avoid conflicts which may arise otherwise. (INSTALL.BAT will
do this automaticly if it finds old scenery files). The Northern
Territory ONLY scenery, available now, can then be added to complete
the central Australian area.
The INSTALL.BAT file is a simple DOS batch file to automate installation.
You can either use it or do a manual install.
To use INSTALL.BAT:-
Syntax
INSTALL [full path of source diretory] [full path of FS5 main directory]
Follow screen directions.
Manual install:-
Create an OZPACK sub directory to your fs5 directory and copy -
READ_SA.1ST
GEN_SA.TXT
NAV_SA.TXT
to the OZPACK sub directory.
Copy -
AUS_SA1.BGL
AUS_SA2.BGL
to the (FS5)\SCENERY sub directory.
Copy -
RUNWAY00.R8
RUNWAY03.R8
to the (FS5)\TEXTURE sub directory.
Keep ASA.ZIP in a safe place in case you lose or damage one or more of
its archived files.
WHAT'S NEW
^^^^^^^^^^
This, the 22nd November 94 revision to AUS_SA scenery for FS5
* introduces proper elevations to each airport,(Software limitations apply);
* adds full detailed SA coastline;
* adds fuel boxes and towers;
* adds taxiways to Adelaides major airports;
* adds a technique to partially overcome the false horizon problem.
* adds some of the large dry salt lakes (in very gross detail only, for now).
GETTING STARTED
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
In the World (Airports) menu, select AUSTRALIA - STH AUST. Select the
airport of your choice. Note that when using the World (Airports) menu
this way to quickly get to the airport of your choice, your aircraft
will retain the characteristics under which it was operating prior to
this menus' use, including speed. All the menu options will deliver you
to ground level "ready for taxi" or "ready for take off". Therefore
always enter the World (Airports) menu from an
"on the ground" stationary STN.
